Luke Combs is shaking up the album-making process by teasing a fan-driven tracklist for his next release, and fans are eager to help him choose the songs.
Luke Combs might be taking a bold new approach to making music and fans are ready to help him do it.
In a recent social media post (Aug. 5), the country superstar revealed he’s “seriously considering crowd sourcing” his upcoming sixth studio album by letting fans help decide which songs make the final cut.
Seriously considering “Crowd Sourcing” my next record. Like just put up a bunch of demos and worktapes to see what y’all like best.

“Like just put up a bunch of demos and worktapes to see what y’all like best,” Combs wrote on X (formally known as Twitter).
The “Beautiful Crazy” hitmaker has been teasing the project for months. Back in March, Combs gave his fandom an update on his creative process and prepared them to expect his best work yet.
"I've been spending the last couple of weeks working on what my next record looks like and as it begins to take shape I can honestly say I've never felt better about one at this stage," he explained. "It's early on but I really do think it could wind up being the best record I've ever made."

Shortly after he sat down with the Katie & Company podcast and confirmed that he already recorded over 30 songs but isn’t planning to release them all.
“I've probably got one recording session left on it, but I've already recorded, I don't know, over 30 songs, I would think," said Combs. He also admitted the album still doesn’t have a title, which isn’t unusual for him.
"I don't know that there's any plans to do, like, the big album thing. I just don't know if I love that idea, you know. There's nothing against it, I mean, obviously it works really well, but I just dont. I don't know what it's called yet...it's hard to know without having everything recorded," added Combs.
Despite the loose ends, Combs’ fanbase is thrilled. The idea of helping choose the album’s tracklist has the country community itching with excitement. Many fans are already calling for the release of unreleased demos they’ve heard during past live shows and social media snippets.
“Luke Combs is one of the few artists where I feel like I trust his vision and want to be part of the journey,” one fan posted on X. “Letting us help pick the songs? Genius.”
Another added, “We’re ready, Luke. Drop the demos. We’ll do the rest.”
With Combs hinting that this might be his best work yet and inviting fans directly into the creative process, the anticipation for album No. 6 is at an all-time high. As of now, there’s no official release date or album title, but fans are more than ready to help bring it to life.
