Michael Bublé and John Legend finalize their semifinalists – just before a surprise twist gives eliminated contestants one last shot at redemption.
The Playoffs wrapped up Monday night (May 5) on The Voice, as coaches Michael Bublé and John Legend made the tough calls to finalize their two semifinalists from each team. But just when viewers thought the night was over, a major twist shook things up: all four coaches were granted a final super save, allowing them to bring back one previously eliminated contestant before the live shows.
Those lucky returns, however, won’t be revealed until next week.
Bublé’s team kicked things off with a diverse lineup. Kaiya Hamilton tackled Sting’s “If You Love Somebody, Set Them Free” and delivered a powerful, gritty rendition that drew praise from Kelsea Ballerini, who said Kaiya “ate and left no crumbs.” Jadyn Cree followed with her best performance yet, bringing her quirky charm and spot-on vocals to “99 Red Balloons.”
Adam David impressed with a stunning version of “I Shall Be Released,” evoking Father John Misty vibes and commanding the stage with his raw emotion. Meanwhile, Barry Jean Fontenot’s take on “Until I Found You” and Angie Rey’s rendition of “How Do I Live” fell just short of standout territory, ultimately costing them a spot in the next round.

In the end, Bublé advanced Adam David and Jadyn Cree to the Semifinals, leaving Kaiya, Angie, and Barry in limbo – at least until the super saves come into play.
Team Legend brought the heat with a setlist full of emotional punches and powerhouse performances. Bryson Battle delivered a slow-burn version of Ariana Grande’s “pov” that took off in its final moments, showcasing his vocal firepower. Renzo continued to solidify his star status with a fiery cover of Hozier’s “Too Sweet,” blending nuance with rock intensity. Olivia Kuper Harris stunned with a hauntingly beautiful take on Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For,” commanding the stage without needing to move a muscle. Ari Camille leaned into the sultry vibe of SWV’s “Rain,” while BD.ii’s performance of “All My Life” lacked the spark needed to match his prior showings.

Legend ultimately pushed Bryson and Renzo through to the Semifinals, with Olivia, Ari, and BD.ii awaiting their fate pending the super saves.
With each coach now holding one final save, and fan-favorites on the edge of elimination, next week promises to shake up the competition once again – just in time for the live shows.
