Young Spidey is back! After the chaos of No Way Home, Marvel’s next Spider-Man flick – Spider-Man: Brand New Day  – is about to give Peter Parker a whole new vibe. Dropping July 31, 2026, this one’s less about multiverse madness and more about getting grimy in the streets of NYC.

Tom HollandPeter Parker / Spider-Man

Tom’s still our Spider-King. Once threats start hitting close to home, he has too dust off that suit and get back to business. He’s older, solo, and has zero memory from the people he loves.

Tom Holland has been keeping busy outside the Spidey suit, showing off serious range. He took a darker turn in Apple TV+’s The Crowded Room, where he played a man struggling with mental illness – earning praise for stepping way outside his Marvel comfort zone. Before that, he flexed his action chops in Uncharted, proving he can do stunts and sarcasm without the webs. Whether he’s swinging through NYC or diving deep into dramatic roles, Holland’s making it clear he’s more than just your friendly neighborhood superhero.

ZendayaMJ (Michelle Jones-Watson)

MJ’s back… kinda. Word is her role might be smaller this time around since she doesn’t even remember Peter anymore. Yep, No Way Home erased it all. The chemistry’s still there though – we can feel it. Outside the Spider-Verse, Zendaya continues to dominate Hollywood with a résumé that’s as stacked as her red carpet looks. She recently lit up the screen as Chani in Dune: Part Two, where her chemistry with Timothée Chalamet had the internet in a chokehold. She also made waves earlier this year in Luca Guadagnino’s Challengers, playing a tennis star tangled in a messy love triangle – because, of course, even her drama is elite.

Jacob BatalonNed Leeds

Spidey’s bestie is back! No magic sling ring, no wizard hat… just regular-degular Ned. Fans are hoping he doesn’t go full Hobgoblin (yet), but Marvel be playing long games.

Jacob Batalon may be best known for playing Ned Leeds, Spider-Man’s loyal bestie with a heart of gold, but he’s been making moves beyond the MCU, too. In 2022, he stepped into the lead role of Reginald the Vampire on Peacock, flipping the script as an underdog-turned-bloodsucker in a world where looks mean everything. The series let Jacob show off his comedic timing and emotional depth in a way we hadn't seen before, proving he’s got leading-man potential. Between vampire hijinks and multiverse adventures, Batalon is quietly building a résumé that’s as unexpected as it is entertaining.

Jon BernthalFrank Castle / The Punisher

Oh, it’s up. Jon Bernthal stepping in as The Punisher means things are about to get violent. Like… real violent. This ain’t the guy you call to talk feelings – he pulls up, no mask, no mercy. He’s coming from Netflix’s Punisher series straight into MCU chaos.

Sadie SinkRole still under wraps

Miss Max from Stranger Things joining the MCU? Say less.

No confirmation yet, but fans are throwing out names like Black Cat and Jean Grey. Sadie Sink has consistently proven she's more than “just Max from Stranger Things.” Before landing her breakout role, she made waves on Broadway as Annie and young Queen Elizabeth II in The Audience, sharing the stage with Helen Mirren. Her dramatic chops attracted none other than Taylor Swift, casting her as the emotional lead in All Too Well: The Short Film, in which Sink brought raw authenticity that resonated deeply with audiences and critics alike.

Liza Colón-ZayasAlso mystery role

She killed it on The Bear, and now she’s stepping into Marvel’s world. No word yet on her character, but don’t sleep – she’s got the acting chops to steal any scene she’s in.

Liza Colón-Zayas is no stranger to powerful performances, having built a strong career on both stage and screen before stepping into the Marvel universe. She’s best known for her Emmy-winning role as Tina Marrero on The Bear, where she brought raw, emotional depth to the kitchen drama, earning widespread praise for her authenticity. With roots in New York’s theater scene and credits spanning Law & Order, Dexter, and United 93, Liza brings a grounded, resilient energy to every role. Fans can expect her to deliver that same intensity and grace in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi) and written by the team behind No Way Home, this film is taking notes from the comic arc “Brand New Day.” That’s the one where Spidey wipes his identity and starts fresh – new villains, new crew, new rules. Filming kicks off late July to mid-August 2025, mostly in Glasgow, Scotland.

Fan POV (Because We’re Already Obsessing)

Social media is already spiraling, and the consensus is clear: fans are emotionally wrecked and locked in for opening night!

The overall vibe online is one of deep loyalty mixed with frustration, heartbreak, and thirst. Everyone’s rooting for Peter Parker, but we’re all collectively tired of seeing this man suffer. The trailer isn’t even out yet, and x  is flooded with reactions like, Can we get one movie where Peter’s life isn’t in shambles? Just one??” Viewers are bracing for yet another emotional gut punch, but they’re also here for the ride – especially with the darker tone and gritty street drama being teased.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day drops July 31, 2026, and it’s lookin’ like a reset and a rebirth all in one.
