The Met Gala 2025 theme, "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style," set the stage for one of the most show-stopping, conversation-starting red carpets in recent memory, and let's say the stars did not come to play. From pants-free power moves to dramatic bows and bold tributes to icons past and present – here's who turned the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art into a full-blown runway.

1. Lisa

Lisa's custom Louis Vuitton jacket-and-briefs combo was already a statement with its delicate black lace and tailored edge, but the meaning stitched into the very fabric took things to another level. Created using portraits by artist Henry Taylor, the lace paid homage to key figures from his life, and fans swear one of them is civil rights icon Rosa Parks. While LV hasn't confirmed that detail, the internet is already deep into their theories. Thought-provoking and fashion-forward? That's how you make a Met Gala moment.

2. Kim Kardashian

Trust Kim K to keep everyone talking. This year, she leaned into edgy tailoring with a black leather Chrome Hearts dress and a matching fedora that screamed mobster meets biker couture. With a plunging skirt that could've caused a wardrobe malfunction and a look she described as a "vest-suit with a dress," Kardashian delivered the sexy-suit energy we didn't know we needed.

3. Sabrina Carpenter

After a headline-making year full of Grammy wins and viral hits, Sabrina Carpenter returned to the Met steps like she owned them. Rocking a merlot pinstripe bodysuit and cropped Louis Vuitton blazer courtesy of Pharrell Williams, Carpenter gave us a playful, powerful take on suiting. The glitter buttons, crisp white collar, and floor-sweeping train were all perfectly on-brand, and fans are obsessed with how this look felt authentically her.

4. Sofia Richie Grainge

Sofia Richie Grainge had a chic mom's night out and looked insanely good doing it. Dressed in a high-neck, satin white Tommy Hilfiger gown, complete with short sleeves, an open back, and a giant statement bow, Richie Grainge was the epitome of elegance-meets-wow-factor. Her slicked-back bun and glowing skin were the perfect finishing touches: minimal effort, maximum impact.

5. Keke Palmer

Nobody does glam quite like Keke. For her 2025 Met Gala return, she stunned in a deconstructed tuxedo gown by Vera Wang, created in tribute to Dorothy Dandridge. With a bold black-and-white palette and tailoring that balanced structure with softness, Palmer honored Hollywood history while making her own red-carpet legacy.

6. Zendaya

Zendaya never misses, and last night was no exception. She stepped out in a chic cream suit and wide-brimmed hat, presumably styled by her fashion soulmate Law Roach. It felt equal parts retro and futuristic. Topped with glam from Charlotte Tilbury Beauty, she gave classic tailoring a dreamy, almost cinematic spin. Zendaya's slay is quiet but deafening.

7. Karlie Kloss

Karlie Kloss made her baby bump Met Gala official in a dramatic, curve-hugging black gown, part Victorian goth, part fashion-forward queen. The deep V neckline dipped to ribcage level, while a 3D collar and rows of buttons added just the right amount of drama. Serving "gothic goddess expecting her heir," and we're here for every second of it.

8. Sydney Sweeney

Channeling golden-age Hollywood, Sydney Sweeney honored Vertigo star Kim Novak in a plunging, fully encrusted black Miu Miu gown. With a gold rosette detail, a keyhole cutout, and beaded fringe dripping from her shoulders, this look was pure Old Hollywood opulence with a Gen Z twist.

9. Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas lit up the 2025 Met Gala red carpet with a coordinated look that perfectly captured the evening's theme. Making a stylish return to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the power couple turned heads with their sophisticated ensembles. Priyanka, 42, served vintage glam in a custom Balmain look, featuring a black and white polka-dot blazer and a dramatic floor-length skirt, topped off with a show-stopping emerald necklace and wide-brimmed black hat that nodded to the night's "Tailored for You" dress code. Nick, 32, complemented her effortlessly in classic black slacks and an off-white shirt, elevated by a loosely tied scarf that added a subtle edge to his tailored look. Together, they proved once again why they're one of fashion's favorite duos.

10. Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens made a jaw-dropping entrance at their first Met Gala as a couple, and what a debut it was. Stepping onto the red carpet at fashion's biggest night, Biles, 28, stunned in a custom Harbison Studio creation dubbed the Seraphim dress – a bright blue satin minidress featuring a dramatic bustle and shimmering black embellishments. She elevated the bold look with towering heels and a custom Galaxy Cathedral Train that flowed behind her. Owens, 29, perfectly complemented his wife in an all-white suit with striking blue accents, accessorized with a luxe white gold Margot McKinney Atlantic pendant boasting a 119.44ct aquamarine, South Sea pearl, and diamonds. A white fur cape and black cane finished his regal ensemble, making their debut a scene-stealing moment that fully embraced this year's theme.
