The powerhouse newcomer is making waves with a bold new era of storytelling — raw, rootsy, and refreshingly real. Keep reading for an exclusive look at what’s to come for Harper Grace.
When Harper Grace walks into a room or onto a stage, there’s a quiet kind of command in the way she carries herself. It’s not ego. It’s not a persona. It’s something deeper – authenticity.
Her stream-worthy duet “IDK” with Franklin Jonas isn’t just another release, it marks the start of a bold new era. With this track, Grace makes one thing clear, she refuses to be boxed in. Grace is a genre-defying force with undeniable star power, she’s carving out a lane entirely her own.
“IDK” wasn’t supposed to be a duet. What started as a laid-back writing session between creative friends quickly evolved into a musical spark. They swapped personal stories that naturally evolved into a powerful musical conversation.
“We both started sharing about our love lives,” Grace told Fandom Daily. “And suddenly it became this back-and-forth between two people trying to figure out what they are, what they want, and what love looks like in the messiness of your twenties.”
The push and pull became the heartbeat of “IDK.” But the song also became something more, it marks a turning point for both artists.
While Jonas finds his footing in the Americana and folk space, Grace is cementing her place in a new generation of country stars who are redefining what it means to be “country.” Think Kacey Musgraves’ introspection meets Lainey Wilson’s grit, with flashes of early Miranda Lambert and a hint of Dolly Parton’s twangy charm.
Her vocals are both powerful and raw, carrying the weight of experience, while her songwriting feels like unfiltered journal entries she’s brave enough to share. In an industry that often urges women to play it safe, her perspective stands out – honest, bold, and refreshingly unapologetic.
The Texas native told Fandom Daily she’s ready to elevate her artistry and invite fans even deeper into her world with her highly anticipated debut album.
“I’m working on my debut album, which is super exciting,” Grace says about her upcoming project, Dear Heart. “This album is my story, and it will be out next summer. It really is an outpour of all my emotions that I’ve walked through in my twenties. Some hardships, some heartache, some falling in love, some stupid decisions,” she added.
Dear Heart promises to be a collection that leans into tradition while boldly stepping into new territory. She said that writing this collection was a form of therapy, and fans will soon hear her vulnerability in every word.
“I just feel like music is a place to be authentic and talk about those things. Open up about the parts that are kind of hard to talk about,” explained the country newcomer. “Be honest and kind, and use it as therapy. So, I'm hoping that people like it.”
When Fandom Daily asked if Jonas would appear on Grace’s collection, they left us itching for more answers.
“Maybe we will, maybe we won’t,” Grace teases with a smile, slipping in a subtle nod to their duet. “But we love working together. We get each other’s music. And I think that’s rare. She’s the real deal. The kind of artist you want to root for, and you know she’s just getting started," Jonas stressed.
As for Jonas, “IDK” is just the beginning as well. After years of quietly finding his voice, the youngest Jonas is finally stepping into a sound that feels true to him.
“I’ve tried pop. I’ve tried other genres. But this rootsy, folk-inspired thing, it’s where I’m meant to be,” he said. With Grace as his guide and collaborator, and with fans already rallying behind their connection, both artists are redefining what country music can be.
So what’s next?
Grace’s already building a devoted community of fans who see themselves in her lyrics, who feel heard in her heartbreaks, and who trust that she’ll keep showing up with songs that cut straight to the core. So if you’re a massive fan of “IDK”, don’t stop there. Her catalog is packed with gems like “Freedom” featuring Kelsey Hart, “Live Lonely” with Mason Ramsey, 2024 EP, Break It Like A Man, which all deserve a spot on your playlist.
