Spoiler Alert: If you haven’t watched 'Bachelor in Paradise' Season 10, Episode 2 yet, stop reading now.
If you thought the Bachelor in Paradise Season 10 premiere was calm, Episode 2 (July 14) flipped the script and turned up the heat on the drama meter. After a relatively tame start, the show hit us with new arrivals, complicated feelings, and jaw-dropping moments that left everyone speechless.
First off, the guys were handed the roses this week, instantly flipping the power dynamic and raising the stakes. Then, four new women showed up on the beach, each bringing their own baggage. The most talked-about arrival? Susie Evans, Justin Glaze’s ex.
If you remember, Glaze had just opened up to his paradise crush, Lexi Young, about his recent breakup with Evans. So, having her show up on the same beach? You could almost feel the tension through the screen. Young's doubts about dating someone fresh out of a relationship suddenly felt very real.
But Evans wasn’t the only new face shaking things up. Parisa Shifteh from Bachelor Season 19 and Alli Jo Hinkes also arrived. Later on, Jill Chin, a familiar face from Bachelor Season 16 and Paradise Season 8 made a return.
The episode introduced a pretty wild game called “Kiss and Don’t Tell,” which was basically a free pass for contestants to explore physical attraction with no strings attached. Contestants could swipe right or left on each other, and if two people matched, they’d get a private kiss in a booth, with the option to keep it secret. It was a game designed to test chemistry, boundaries, and trust.
Shifteh ignored Zoe McGrady's warnings and boldly invited Brian Autz on a date, while Hinkes picked Jonathon Johnson for a double date filled with games, dancing, and deep convos. Meanwhile, Chin was feeling the frustration of many people already being paired off, so she took the initiative and asked Johnson to join her in the VIP suite for a date. There was a kiss, but it still felt more like a friendly gesture than a romantic one. And Evans, amidst all this, took Jeremy Simons jet skiing.
The real emotional tug-of-war came from Evans unresolved feelings for Glaze. After their catch-up, Evans gave Young the green light to pursue Glaze, which was a classy but bittersweet moment. But the plot thickened as Glaze and Young appeared to rekindle something, at least for a moment.
And then, the rose ceremony. The moment everyone was waiting for. Spencer Conley gave his rose to Jess Edwards, Dale Moss picked Kat Izzo, Simons chose Bailey Brown, Autz blindsided McGrady by giving his rose to Shifteh, and Johnson gave his to Alexe Godin. With just one rose left, most expected it to go to Young. Instead, Glaze shocked the entire cast and viewers by naming Evans.
His heartfelt words to her, promising protection and loyalty, left Evans stunned. But in a surprising move, she declined the rose, cutting the ceremony short and leaving Young devastated. Glaze walked off the set, leaving us all wondering – Is he trying to get back with Susie, or was this a way to give her a fair shot at love? And what does this mean for Young, Evans, and the others?
